With more extreme re-flashes appearing, over-driven superchargers and the new 2bular 4-1, power on the SC installs is approaching 300bhp! Unfortunately, with increased power comes increased NOISE. I’ve resurrected a silencer design I used a while back to bring a rotary-engined racecar down from 127dbs to the required 105dbs – not an easy task! This H2 GT3 design has been extensively tested by some willing owners/racers world-wide. Feedback has been great and I will be offering it for sale in 2011. It is so efficient, the 7”dia design is actually quieter/lighter than the std 2bular 8” systems. An added bonus is you never have to re-pack. Looking at the inlet end, you can see the first internal chamber with its rounded entry to the guide cone/perforated middle section. The second chamber is a different size to the first – both combine to cancel the majority of the hi-freq exhaust sounds. There’s a lot of internal welding/fabrication to this silencer but owners looking to enjoy their cars on today’s noise-restricted tracks will appreciate the effort.
It is a straight-thru design, 63.5mm bore.From the outside, it’s just the std 2bular GT3 shape – you can see the internal spot welds on the rings used to form the chambers at each end. The std 2bular 8” GT3 has the one internal ring in the middle.
